Avery Middlesex (they/them), keyboards. Avery was born in Bristol, UK and emigrated to Memphis as a teen. A high school talent show performance in the 80’s led to a gig with alt country band Riverbottom. Avery went on to form the punk bands One Fell Swoop, Delicious Aloysius, and Badvocate (replacing Ashe Wednesday)
Ashe Wednesday (ze/hir), percussion. An Asheville native, a chance meeting with Tito Puente as a teen inspired Ashe to play percussion hir high school band. Ze later powered the Athens, GA bands Bongo Fury, Rug Emergency, and Badvocate. Ashe is currently a member of Paul is Dead (with Inga Partridge) Wunderkind of (with Rev. Solitaire Montenegro), and Duo or Die (with Leonia Teaneck). Ashe teaches percussion at Berklee College of Music.
Reverend Solitaire Montenegro (he/they), bass guitar. Born and raised in Detroit and shaped in the crucible of early aughts Motor City garage rock, “the Rev” is an alumnus of Dopamean and Wunderkind Of, the latter with Ashe Wednesday. Solitaire is available to preside over your rock ‘n roll wedding.
Leonia Teaneck (shey/shem/sheir), guitar. Leonia hails from NJ and lives in Queens. Originally schooled in banjo, shey switched to guitar as a teen and went on to form the 90’s cult bands Proctor Silex Mariner and Morning Breath. Beyond the Invisible Band, shey plays in Duo or Die with Ashe Wednesday (replacing Nova Darkstar).
Nova Darkstar (they/them), vocals. Nova was born in New Jersey and calls the Hudson Valley home. They played in the 80’s Boston bands Hogwash, Zamboni, and The Warthogs, were a Borscht Belt folk singer in the Aughts, and most recently played in The Pond Hoppers with Andrew Register. Nova is a former member of Duo or Die (with Ashe Wednesday).
Inga Partridge (they/them), drums. Inga hails from Fort Lee, NJ, and is the grandchild of Richard Feder (of SNL fame). She got her start in the Jersey bands Core Friend Group and The Locavores. With Ashe Wednesday, Inga co-founded Paul is Dead, the Beatles/Grateful Dead cover band currently burning up the jam band circuit.
